2. Sagar Browser: Developed by a team from IIT Bombay, Sagar Browser focuses on privacy and security. It includes features such as a built-in VPN, anti-tracking capabilities, and encryption for user data.
3. Nirman Browser: Developed by a team from IIIT Hyderabad, Nirman Browser is designed for users in rural areas with limited internet connectivity. It includes features such as data compression, offline browsing, and a lightweight design.
The winners will receive cash prizes and support from MeitY to further develop their browsers and bring them to market. The challenge is part of the government’s efforts to promote indigenous technology development and reduce dependency on foreign products.
